Eye Health Examination for Cataracts, Glaucoma & Other Ocular Conditions

When you come to Burlington Optometry, you will find that our primary focus is your accurate examination of your eyes and in order to facilitate our mission toward your healthy eyes, we offer the latest, state-of-the-art specialty testing devices. This include our retinal image photography module, which allows us to keep detailed digital photographs of your retina, as well as our auto-refractor, tonometer, pachymeter, and FDT visual field analyzer for an early detection and management of the most common ocular medical conditions.

Our doctors check for ocular signs of diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, retinal detachments and more.

Oculo-visual Assessments for All Ages

As a known fact and a great saying that prevention is better than cure, early detection is of utmost importance. That is the reason why we highly recommend yearly comprehensive oculo-visual assessments for children and seniors and every 2nd year for adults between 20 and 65 years of age.

OHIP covers annual testing of children under the age of 20 and seniors over 64. Diabetic patients are covered annually, as well as patients with other certain medical conditions. Our new auto-refractor measures objectively a baseline spectacle prescription, corneal curvatures, intra-ocular pressures and corneal thickness in a matter of minutes. These tests can all be done without using drops.

At Burlington Optometry, we also have a Humphreys FDT field analyzer, which is a master detector for glaucoma and other eye disorders.

New patients are welcome and we always strive to accommodate walk-in patients and emergency appointments. Call us today at 905-336-3205 to schedule an appointment. You can also email us at info@burlington-optometry.com. Visit us at: 1505 Guelph Line, Burlington, ON L7P 3B6.
